So life continues on just as it did before the concert. I'm still a little overwhelmed at that whole day. The sun, the heat, and the wait beforehand all seemed unbearable until the meet and greet. Then they were -there- and they were real. Everything from the telly and the monitor was standing and talking and wasn't just a picture anymore. I wihs I hadn't have been so nervous (I had to sit down twice or risk fainting) because I never got the chance to go and talk to Jade. My new buddy Xine got his signature on my poster for me though. I have to say I really like Adam and Hunter a lot more, now. Adam's a total goofball and Hunter has a nice speaking voice.

I can't wait for them to come back to Denver for another concert, even if I don't get to meet them again, because they were such a treat to listen to live.

There is so much more to AFI's music than the melody and the lyrics. Its the pull of the community that their songs create. There were easily five-hundred people at the venue that night and I walked away with the sweat of at least half of them on me, and I've never been happier. I know, its gross sounding, but in the middle of a song where everyone is singing, jumping, and pushing against you.. it really felt like I was part of something a lot bigger than me.

Simply amazing. I have never seen, in my life, such an outpouring of support for something that will gain us nothing but each other. This is the dream that was originally, the community as one.

This, in itself, is beautiful art.

I'm an opinionated person. If I care about something, you are damned well going to know about it.

Well guess what? I'm also an annoying person with no life. I can, have, and will continue to flood my gallery with the yellow alien I adore.

I support Jark because he brought me the community that I cherish so dearly. I'm a part of it, and I owe it to him to show my support in the most basic of means.

Be prepared for a flood.

friend - n. A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts.

Now, this is a pretty broad definition. I think I have a better one.

A friend is NOT:

-Someone who gets mad at you for everything.
-Someone who only wants to deal with you when you're happy.
-Someone who won't listen to what you have to say.


A friend does NOT:

-Want to make you cry.
-Want to hurt your feelings.
-Threaten you.
-Hold things against you that are beyond your control.


A friend IS:

-Someone who cares about what you have to say, no matter the topic.
-Someone who doesn't need conversation to know you care.
-Someone who will always listen.


A friend DOES:

-Want to make you laugh.
-Want to fix your problems.
-Want to defend you.
-Want to like what you like.

And lastly, and MOST importantly.

A friend, a true friend, wants to CONTINUE being your friend forever, no matter how you treat them, how badly you hurt them, or how horribly you both get along, because they know that you really do care enough to work it all out.

Cleaned my basement...got my hair played with to pick a style out for prom next weekend, and then I went and cleaned my aunt's house. Now I'm cleaning my room. Its scary...I haven't submitted to my muse all day, and I'm still beign productive.

I think I have a fever or somethign because there's not way I can be healthy and do that at the same time.

Bleh.
